Terrain Generator
What is your preferred terrain generator?
I'd like to generate a nice terrain with some mountains, lakes but also wide flat plateaus for villages and so on.
Adding stuctures for rivers and roads would be very helpful but I'm afraid this will be a manual task.
Some generators I found are too limited in the dimension and most generate a terrain that is just way too rough.
I'm dreaming of a terrain tool that starts with a random terrain and adds erosion. The erosion should simulate rain and floating water that cuts canyons and rivers. Parts can be marked as future plateaus and the second step is termal erosion to smooth further.
Maybe I need some terrain handling functions and algorithms if there is no such tool?

Re: Terrain Generator
There are lots of useful functions there. Unfortunately there is almost no java doc so it takes a bit to understand
But still a very useful resource.
